Glazed Metallized Alumina Ceramic Component is a very special technical ceramic parts in the electronic and electrical application. It can achieve metal to ceramic, ceramic to ceramic joining by means of brazing through soft or hard solder. There is a metallic layer deposited on the surface of the ceramic base body, like moly-manganese or Tungsten, then with high-temperature sintering. The metallization layer will be tightly joint with the ceramic body.

After metallizing process, an additional plating sometimes is needed. The typical plating is nickel, gold or tin coating. It will improve the wettable of brazing a lot, also it will prevent the metallization layer into oxidizing.
