What is the Ceramic metallization process?

Ceramic metallization is a type of technology to achieve ceramic to metal brazing directly.The ceramic metallization process mainly include following steps:

1. Machining with the certain surface of sintered Alumina Ceramic parts which needs to be metallized, in common case, it's fine grinding, CNC machining.The purpose is to make the surface more flat and smooth to ensure the metallization adhere with ceramic body closely and perfectly.

2. Next step, applying the metallization to the appointed area of ceramic components via silk screen,brushing,spraying methods.

3. Afterwards,  the ceramic with metallization is baked under forming gas (90% nitrogen (N2) and 5% hydrogen (H2) at 1450℃ for a few hours, the basic metallization process is done.

4.In order to enhance the wettability at brazing process as well as prevent the metallization layer into oxidizing, an following nickle (Ni) plating will be covered on base metallization.
