Description of SiC seal ceramic rings

Silicon carbide is in the same family of ceramic, but SiC seal ceramic face has a much better hardness and lubrication than aluminum oxide (Alumina) ones. There are 2 types of silicon carbide, the one is directly sintered silicon carbide(SSiC), another one is reaction-bonded silicon carbide(RBSiC) .SSiC can withstand higher temperature and pressure than RBSiC.
